What a recurrence gap means
A recurrence gap is the number of other results between consecutive appearances of the same exact combination in the named chronological population. Completed-gap rankings do not count the still-open interval after a combination's last appearance.
Repetition is part of the archive
The NUMBERS archive contains 18,497 all-unique results, 6,921 results with one pair and 303 triples. WIN 4 contains 12,580 four-unique results, 10,685 with one pair, 684 with two pairs, 916 with a triple plus a single digit and 31 quadruples.
Records need named populations
NUMBERS and WIN 4 are never mixed for frequency rankings. Midday and Evening are separated for daypart tables and combined only when a page explicitly says it is using the all-draw population.
Method and responsible interpretation
The figures on this page are drawn from the verified historical dataset used to produce The New York Numbers & Win 4 Encyclopedia. Historical frequency, droughts, pairs, streaks and records describe past drawings. They do not predict future random drawings or provide a guaranteed winning method.
