The first archived WIN 4 result
The official dataset's first WIN 4 result is an Evening drawing on July 21, 1981: 7911. WIN 4 expands the ordered result universe to 10,000 possible four-digit strings from 0000 through 9999.
The twice-daily era
Midday fields first become populated on December 2, 2001. From that point, most dates carry both Midday and Evening WIN 4 results.
Leading zeroes matter
WIN 4 is a fixed-width four-digit result. Values such as 0042 must remain four digits; stripping leading zeroes changes the historical record.
Method and responsible interpretation
The figures on this page are drawn from the verified historical dataset used to produce The New York Numbers & Win 4 Encyclopedia. Historical frequency, droughts, pairs, streaks and records describe past drawings. They do not predict future random drawings or provide a guaranteed winning method.
